Good list Trent. One thing I would add is a pack of “Wet Ones Antibacterial Hand Wipes”. Handy to have in case you need to make sure your hands haven’t picked up some sort of nasty stuff.

Thanks Trent! I’ve been happy with the Flipside 500AW , it fits my Tamron 150-600mm attached to an 80D with ease. I also carry the EOS R attached to 16-35, along with 24-70, 70-200, 35 prime, 85 prime along with all my ND filters and more. I may throw some hand warmers in too.

You can easily load your camera manual into your phone or tablet, and therefore have a version that is both light in weight and lit in the dark.

In reply to Debbie. The external hard drive here works the same as any other external, it's just a solid state drive making it more portable and durable. It works via USB, so you'd still need to have a laptop to utilize it.

Definitely some things I hadn’t thought of. I was wondering about the external hard drive and not sure how it worked. Can you transfer photos from your SD card to this drive in the field or does it need power from a lap top. I’m assuming that it takes SD cards.
