Would you consider giving us your recommended settings for the R5?

I’m considering upgrading to this from the EOS R even though I haven’t had this long. I love the animal eye focusing. Do you ever find the moving focus point to get annoying and not focus on what you want? And does it work the same way on video. That’s one thing I have issues with in video as the focus point changes away from the animal a lot when it’s moving through a forest. I may just need to learn the camera more, but I’d love to have a button I can use to hold focus once I get it in video and release it as I need to refocus.

What are the best, but least expensive CF express cards that you have found? I’m filling my shopping cart, and ready to buy! I’ll be in the park a couple of times next month- hope to run into you!

Thank you for a great review… I noticed the lens adapters are back ordered at Adorama, B&H and others…

That Sony is good as well! I know at least a few people using that setup with the 200-600 as well.

I’d say it will for sure focus noticeably faster in low light compared to the 5D4. Most cameras can focus well in good light. The advantage of this camera is it automatically puts the focus point where you want it (eye or face). It will autofocus with that lens and 2x as well. It will focus at f/11 which is what you’d be at with that combo. CF is bigger than CF express so they aren’t compatible. It does have an SD slot though. You’ll want the much faster CFe card though for video or long bursts of photos (it writes something like 1400MB/s)

Thanks! You’d need the EF adapter to use your current lenses. There’s one with or without a control ring, and one with drop in filters. I have the control ring one that allows you to add a setting to it- https://adorama.rfvk.net/vBMXv

Would you say that the R5 focuses a lot better than the 5D Mark four using the 100 to 402nd edition lens? Do you have any idea how well it will focus using it for bird flight Photography?
Do you know if it will auto focus using the above Lens and the 2X Tele converter?
I understand there is a CF express card slot. Will a regular CF card worki in there?

Sounds like it is a great camera. If I buy it do I need to buy an adapter for my existing Canon Lenses?

Thanks!
